Cambria Kitchen Remodeling: The Fort Lauderdale Owner’s Guide
Cambria kitchen remodeling in Fort Lauderdale typically runs $14,000 – $45,000, depending on cabinet layout, countertop square footage, and how much plumbing or electrical has to move. Most Cambria-focused remodels we handle start because the countertop itself is fine but something around it failed: a sink rail cracked, a seam opened near the dishwasher, or the cabinet boxes underneath gave out in humidity they were never built for. We’ll get to what that costs and how fast we can turn it around.

Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria isn’t like laminate or tile. It’s a quartz surface, and every Cambria design comes cut to order from the fabricator, not from a stock shelf. That matters in Fort Lauderdale because the part you’re replacing often isn’t the Cambria slab itself. It’s the sink, the faucet hole layout, the edge profile, or the cabinet substrate underneath. We regularly see homes in Victoria Park and Coral Ridge where the Cambria top is in great shape but the cabinet below is swollen from a slow dishwasher leak.
When we match a Cambria remodel, we need three things: the design name (it’s usually on a sticker under the front lip or on the original paperwork), the edge profile (eased, bevel, or ogee), and the sink style (undermount, drop-in, or integrated). Cambria designs have specific color veining, so patching a seam or adding a matching piece means sourcing from the same lot or accepting a slight variation. For OEM versus aftermarket, the Cambria slab always stays Cambria. But cabinet boxes, sink clips, faucet plates, and drawer slides can be KraftMaid, Silestone, Kohler, or quality equivalents without changing how the top sits. We’re an independent contractor, not affiliated with Cambria, but we install and work around Cambria surfaces every month.

Signs Your Cambria Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Seam separation near the sink or dishwasher. Quartz doesn’t warp, but the adhesive under a seam can degrade with repeated heat and moisture. If you can catch a fingernail on the seam, water is getting where it shouldn’t.
- Soft cabinet floor under the sink. Fort Lauderdale humidity plus a slow P-trap leak rots particleboard boxes quickly. The Cambria top stays level, but the base under it is failing.
- Drawers that stick or won’t close square. This is usually the drawer slide or a swollen cabinet frame, not the drawer front itself. In older kitchens near the beach, salt air accelerates the hardware wear.
- Faucet wobble that tightens over and over. The faucet plate or the under-counter nut has lost its grip on the quartz. Over-tightening can crack the slab, so stop turning and call.
- Cambria edge chip near a walkway or appliance corner. Quartz is tough, but a dropped cast-iron pan hits the edge and chips it. The chip won’t spread, but it will catch every cloth and sponge from now on.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For most Fort Lauderdale kitchens, a Cambria-centered remodel runs $14,000 – $45,000. A smaller galley or condo kitchen with Cambria countertops, new KraftMaid or Wellborn cabinets, and a refreshed sink setup lands near $14,000 – $20,000. A full gut with island, plumbing relocation, custom cabinetry, and Cambria throughout hits $35,000 – $45,000. Countertop installation alone runs $2,000 – $6,500 depending on square footage and edge profile. Cabinet installation runs $4,000 – $13,000 by itself.
What moves the number: how much Cambria you’re keeping, whether the old cabinets can support the same slab, and whether the sink cutout has to be reshaped. We write the price before any work starts. Not a range on a napkin. A written number that doesn’t change at the door. Every project gets our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing: if the work fails inside a year, we come back at no charge.

DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check the obvious: wiggle the faucet, run a bead of silicone along a questionable seam, listen for a dripping sound when the water is off. But pulling a Cambria slab, re-setting it, or cutting a new sink opening is not a weekend job. Quartz is heavy. A standard slab section weighs too much for two people to manage safely, and a dropped slab takes out the cabinet face, the floor tile, and sometimes a foot. If the part failing is a drawer slide, a hinge, or a faucet cartridge, that’s a quick fix. If the cabinet under the Cambria is soft, or the seam has opened more than an eighth of an inch, call us at (754) 551-2922 and we’ll come out and tell you what it actually needs. Like we always say: we’ll tell you what it costs, then we’ll get it done.
FAQs

Cambria quartz itself carries a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer and doesn’t fail from humidity the way wood or laminate does. The parts around it, cabinet boxes and sink seals, typically last 15 – 25 years in South Florida before moisture and salt air take their toll. Call (754) 551-2922 and we can tell you if it’s the Cambria or what’s under it.
Yes, if the crack is a hairline seam separation or a small edge chip, a trained installer can fill and polish it so it’s nearly invisible. A full slab crack that runs corner to corner usually means replacement. The right call depends on where the crack is and how much weight it’s carrying. Call (754) 551-2922 for a straight answer and a written quote.
Most Fort Lauderdale Cambria remodels take 3 to 6 weeks from first measurement to final cleanup, depending on whether cabinets are being replaced and how much plumbing has to move. We give you a written schedule before we start, with a real arrival window, and we hit it.
We don’t warehouse full Cambria slabs, but we order directly from approved fabricators and keep common installation parts on hand: sink clips, faucet plates, seam adhesive, and edge-polishing compound. If we need your exact Cambria design, it’s usually in our hands within a week.
If you’ve got a Cambria kitchen that’s showing its age, or a countertop that’s fine while everything under it is falling apart, call (754) 551-2922. A live person answers, and you’ll get a written price before any work starts. That’s the Kingswell way: say the price, show up on time, leave it cleaner than we found it.
